Our standards

Editorial policy.

Clear sourcing, accurate labels and transparent corrections. Here is how we research, report and keep things up to date at Wanted Wire.

Sourcing

How we source information.

We link to the source behind a claim and record when it was checked. Rockstar's own site and newswire are the primary sources; where a fact comes from a retailer listing, the retailer is named. Every claim carries the date a person opened that page, so you can see when we checked it.

Labels

How we distinguish different claims.

We keep announcements apart from what footage shows, and both apart from interpretation. A claim based on official information is labelled confirmed. Observations from released footage are labelled as footage, with any reading of them identified as ours. Retail information is labelled as pre-orders, with its source and read-date.

Hardware

What we will not say about hardware.

Specifications are the manufacturer's own, with the date they were read. Nothing on this site has been tested in person and no page claims otherwise. No page states how Grand Theft Auto VI will perform on any console, because nobody has published that.

Images

Where the pictures come from.

Grand Theft Auto VI images are Rockstar's, from its official media pack, used for editorial coverage and credited in visible text on every page that shows them. Permission remains an open question with Take-Two and that is recorded rather than glossed over. Product photography is absent where no licensed photograph exists — never generated, never substituted from a similar model, and never taken from a retailer page on the reasoning that it was publicly visible.

Corrections

How we handle corrections.

A correction should explain what changed and why. If we get something wrong or new information arrives, the page is updated and carries a note describing the change, with a link to the source and the date. Superseded facts stay on the record rather than being quietly removed.
